I say that alot. Of course she’s particularly sensitive at the moment, with a bad cough and nightmare teething. But even aside from that, she’s a sensitive creature and she probably always will be. I try not to apologise for her sensitivity, even when it’s expected that I will. Or worse, that I will actively take steps to curb her sensitive behaviour.
And sometimes I want to scream, ‘It’s not a weakness!’, ‘it’s not something to be trained out of!’. Because it’s who she is. When she was barely a year …
Childcare is one of those things that everyone has an opinion about. It might be that it’s too expensive, or the waiting lists are too long, or it might be something more controversial like it’s ‘good for them’. When I was pregnant I didn’t really think about childcare that much except that I vaguely thought what was the point of having children if they were going to be put in childcare for most of the time.
