Sometimes the funniest thing in the world is an Aunty pretending that Elmo is a monkey and swinging him around on the jungle gym. The Aunt in question also brought over an iPad. Already developing some mad driving skills.
Getting my license very late myself, I’m starting to realise that I missed out on all of those road trips we could have done before we had kids. Because I’m all into road trips – just picking up and going somewhere
I have no illusions that doing a road trip with a toddler would be a pleasant experience.
But wistful thoughts about my misspent driving-less youth aside, even being able to drive myself to work or the supermarket or the doctor or the hairdresser is pretty liberating.

It’s no secret (if you twitter) that I’ve been feeling a little low. A few things happened today to cheer me up.
When I got in the shower this morning there was a lovely message from Mr Goog using the foam letters that we have in there for Riley to play with. And he had to get creative because he could only use each letter once.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I get that. Sort of. And this beholder, thinks she is all kinds of beautiful.
Confession. Toddlers always kind of freaked me out. I never knew what they were saying, for one. I secretly dreaded the toddler stage. Tantrums, demands, brattish behaviour, deciphering some morphed language between English and Gobbledygook.
Luckily, it’s different when it’s your brat speaking in gobbledygook.
