A few months back, the munchkin started wanting company to go to sleep.
If I put her in bed and closed the door she’d just get up again and bang on the door.
Not anymore.
I’ve discovered the secret.
If I leave the door open, she doesn’t get out of bed.
She just chats to herself and then goes to sleep.
I’ve now blogged about it.
I anticipate that the whole situation will unravel rather quickly.

It took me about a week of my son getting out of bed before I figured out that if we put a nightlight in his room and opened his door a little more that he’d stay in bed. It’s times like that you wish they came with instructions!
A manual would definitely be useful!
Cracked up at your last two sentences. Isn’t that the truth!? Your daughter is such a punkin! I love the pictures of kids when they are sleeping so soundly their cheeks get flushed. Love ‘em.

OMG she is too cute! My 8 month old will cry and argue himself to sleep, but I have to ignore him completely or he will carry on until I pick him up and rock him to sleep!
Good luck!
ha ha that is so funny.
And, yeah, as soon as you blog about it, there you go.

Yes! For a brief, fleeting moment I actually feel like I know what I’m doing. What a nice feeling.
How gorgeous. I have a non-sleeper and at 23 months she’s just gone three nights in a row with only one wakeup, it’s heaven. I agree, it’s such a nice feeling when something works!
