No, No, Me, Me!

I think it’s quite possible that all I will hear for the next year is “No! No!” and “Me!, Me!”. My ears are bleeding, seriously. I can even here the phrases echoing in my ear when she’s not saying them (because she’s asleep). I’ve been threatening to walk around all day with headphones on for days. And so I guess she’s cottoned on to the idea that it’s an idle threat on my part. You’ll remember I was the one who wanted her to talk. So I got what I wanted. Awesome. I might need to start taking headache pills around the clock.

Also? My previously gentle, quiet baby has turned into a toddler who stomps around and has two volumes: loud and louder. Which is just weird.

But really it is amazing how quickly she’s picking up words now and stringing them together. And it’s all happened in the course of about a week. Coincidentally, it’s been a week where we haven’t been watching TV because I’ve been at my mum’s. I wonder if that has anything to do with it? God, I hope not. Sesame Street is an essential part of my day (i.e. quiet alone time) at home. And I’m all about her leanring new words. Because the way I figure it the more words there are, the more likely it is that every few hours or so I might hear something other than “No! No! Me! Me!”
