This morning we braved sub-zero temperatures to go to the park and take some photos. Ok. It probably wasn’t sub-zero. And drama queen tendencies notwithstanding, I’m told that yesterday was the coldest day in 30 years.
It always amazing how much I enjoy new words. Today it was ‘pel-can!’ (translation: pelican). And as the lone pelican moved away from the shore ‘home. Bye-bye pel-can, soo-soon!’ (translation: see you soon). And even more fun, is the unexpected words that tend to make it into Riley’s vocabulary. We saw a dog on the way back and at first she was just saying ‘puppy. dog’ and then she said ‘cute!’.
Now that was cute. Very, very cute.

My favorite yesterday was when my 3-year-old informed me that something was “cool.” Yeah, man, dig it.
That is gorgeous!
Beautiful photo!
Elias went through a period where he referred to his “cute pants” and “cute outfit”. Very cute indeed!
I love it!
Ohh I love this stage! My favourite new word is my 19 month old saying “Ewwi” (Ellie, her sister’s name). It’s always in a tone which suggests Ellie’s in trouble and I always find it funny.
Me too! Riley actually had a conversation (sort of) with my sister on the phone today.
Awwww SO fun!!!
I LOVE hearing the hilarious phrases & words that Z comes up with!
That phrase – ‘the sooner they talk, the sooner they talk back?’ I’m happy to listen to a mountain of ‘No!’ for all the other wonderful stuff.
