From birthday presents and scraped savings I finally bought my camera and it arrived this week. I haven’t had time to play around with all the functions as yet – I’ve just been using it on automatic so far. The best thing about it is how fast it is. With our other cameras I would have missed this photo because of the delay time.

It’s funny the things you find out about yourself seemingly after the fact. I was at a wedding on the weekend and it was there that I realised I am not a serious person. I always thought of myself that way. But I am not serious and generally, I find people who are serious slightly exhausting and slightly humourless.

I haven’t been hiding! I’ve been temporarily distracted by an idea to start a childrens’ book review website. If someone would just get it together to get me my clone, everything would go a whole lot smoother.
