Risk Taking Behaviour

At a certain point you realise that everything you do is risky in some way or another and you attempt to ignore just how risky in an attempt to hold on to your sanity. Oh what would that be you ask?
1) I drank plenty of coffee throughout my pregnancy and while breastfeeding because I was too exhausted not to.
2) I vaccinated the munchkin and tried to ignore those statistics tht suggested that one in every ten milion suffer paralysis or some other hideous side effect because I figured it would …

Petrol Head

No idea where she gets it from. I blame the neighbours with 10 cars next door (with at least 3 of them that acfually work). She will determine who to wave at based solely on the size of their car. This does not bode well for the future.

She’s Laughing at You, Simon Cowell.

She’s laughing at you, Simon Cowell, not with you. Or at least that’s what I’d like to think! You can see him in the background being all douchey.

Bad Perfectionism. Bad!

Tomorrow NaNoWriMo officially begins and I have to write approximately 1,667 words every day to reach my goal of a novel by the end of the month. If I still had the remnants of a perfectionist in me, she will most definitely be curled up in the corner, in the fetal position, rocking back and forth by the end of it.

Discipline and the Mighty Toddler

Riley is nearly 18 months old and I’m yet to come across a situation that would require even an early form of discipline. Some of the mothers’ in our play group are already using time outs or a slap on the hand. I don’t believe in any form of slapping/smacking/threat of either as a way of discipline myself and have heard that it is ineffective anyway. Although I’m so against it I doubt I would use it even if it did work. I agree with MomHouston that most of the …

A Letter

For a while now I’ve wanted to write a letter to the Googy – and after reading other letters here, here and here, was finally inspired to do exactly that.

All letters like this begin exactly the same way. I can’t believe you’re 18 months old. Little people make time speed up. It’s true and not just something that old people say.
When you were born you were 10 days late, or fully cooked as I prefer to think of it. It seems that you’ve been trying to make up for it ever …

Thankful Tuesday – Iron Man Food?

Thankful Tuesday continues . . .

Thanks to the restorative power of Nutri Grain I managed to take the edge of Riley’s monster hunger after her four hour nap today. Hopefully she doesn’t turn into an Iron Man . . .
I would love for everyone to participate! If you want to create your own Thankful Tuesday entry it’s easy:
1) Create your blog post
