She thinks if she giggles enough bedtime will be delayed.

It totally works.

I knew early on that I would marry Josh because I knew he was the father of my children. I just knew. Other things confirmed it – we fought like cats and dogs, laughed alot, enjoyed doing absolutely nothing together and were completely different yet totally the same.

Every now and then I take a photo of Riley that actually looks like how I see her.

This is one of those.
Even though I’ve never seen her sleep with her hand under her cheek like that and she doesn’t really like stuffed toys. But something about this picture makes me want to cry. I have no idea why.

She stood up on a chair, fell over and hit her head (no soft landing – it was concrete). The silent crying which let me know it was really bad was truly awful.
Within half an hour she was back to playing like it never happened. My recovery time was somewhat longer.

Proper pyjamas make her seem really grown up.
I am not a live in the moment sort of person. I either think too much about the past or too much about the future. So when I see her in her pyjamas and not the wondersuits she’s been in since she was a newborn it makes the whole growing up thing very real.
